History

Company Profile - History
Landscape designers, who reached global architectural design in an organic way: it is a history carved into the genetic code: in fact, pagher means ‘fir' in the ancient dialect of Brescia and in a wider sense ‘forest'. Our background is composed of five generations of breeders who, one after the other wormed out nature's every secret.

THE FOUNDER
Gianfranco Paghera has had the dream of "creating scenarios and landscapes" since he was a child when he translated it into detailed miniatures of gardens. As a very young man, he started turning his dream into reality, following a training route that, from the Agricultural School of Minoprio brought him to California to follow a master's course at Los Angeles University, obtaining the "Bachelor Of Arts in Landscape Architecture" and the "Master Of Science in General Engineering". Then to Brazil, where he attended a specialization course with the late great Brazilian architect and landscape designer Bourlemax. Finally, after changing the mission of the company to include the architectural design of outdoor and indoor spaces, he went to Lausanne to complete a Master's Degree in architecture. 
 
And with Gianfranco...
 
Michele, Gianfranco's firstborn, began his formative course that brought him to move to England where he attended the famous "Cambridge Arts Tudors", then he moved to the United States of America at the Washington International University where he obtained the Degree in Landscape Architecture. Michele entered actively inside the Family Company where today he is in charge of the Foreign Market Management and Chairman of Paghera Green Philosophy Middle East, with registered office in Dubai. Author of the openings of new, decisive markets in the former USSR, in Kazakhstan and in Turkey and important growth in the United Arab Emirates.

Anna, who has always supported her brother with a creative and operational synergy that has contributed to the style and the growth of the company. Her innate taste together with a natural penchant for beauty in its countless forms, have directed and determined her role which involves image, communication and interior design. It was Anna that created the many advertising campaigns of recent years, the emotional films and the institutional books. But she has also created many designs and realizations of outfitting scenarios for great events: for the Teatro alla Scala for Zeffirelli's Aida, for initiatives in the field of art, vogue and show-business, recreating scenarios of wild nature, plant rooms and secret gardens. It is thanks to her contribution that Paghera also works, for its own customers, in the field of the communication and study of a coordinated image and packaging.
 
Matteo, Anna's firstborn. Purchase manager for Italy and other countries and responsible for the entire contract management of trade with suppliers, consultants and technicians.
Elena and Elisa, twin sisters and daughters of Gianfranco: the former specialized in photography, the latter in Interior Design. As in the best tradition, "they are working their way up the ranks" starting with basic roles that prepare them for the future and more important responsibilities.

And, of course... a big, very big team: 110 partners, working inside or outside the company, to which are added up to 2,200 people (artisans, technicians, designers, architects, engineers, researchers from international institutes, market-leading companies), depending on the challenges to be faced, anywhere in the world.
 
1972
Continuous research, also with the aim of improving the technological presentation of production, leads to the setting up of a world-famous landscape architecture office, which, even today, has no equal in Italy.
 
1980 - 1990
Evolution of the family company into an S.P.A. (Inc.), composed of companies active in "green" sectors.
Very important is development related to environmental restoration through the Codra (Center of Defense and Environmental Recovery) Division, subsequently transformed into Paghera Eco-BioTech.

2002
The thirtieth anniversary is celebrated with recognition by ICE (National Institute for Foreign Commerce) which appoints Paghera S.p.A. as the sole company representing Italian Style in the world, in the field of garden culture and architecture.

2006 - 2007
Evolution from S.p.A. to Holding - it includes four main branches:
Paghera Green Philosophy, landscape design, architectural design, urban planning.
Paghera Communication, strategy, marketing, events, information.
Paghera Eco-Biotech - Environmental checkup, restoration, reclamation and any services required to safeguard the environment.
Paghera Real Estate - real estate development and negotiation.

2008
Thanks to a network composed of more than 270 market-leading companies, research institutes and universities, the Paghera Group today faces the third millennium with unchanged capacity to accept great challenges, finding new solutions to problems that are considered unsolvable.
