The project plans to conjure up a park of over 2,200,000 m with plants from all over the world, including examples of extinct species and those that have survived evolution and climate shifts. This unusual garden is intended as a gift from the city of Riyadh to the Saudi King Abdullah, and it will also represent a powerful tool for learning about, and understanding, the origins and consequences of climate change and the transformations the worlds ecosystems undergo. It will help think about the choices we will face in the future and how we can effectively foster sustainable development.
