In Calvagese della Riviera, an ancient Roman village located just above the coast of Lake Garda, between Salò and Desenzano, stands this residence born from the restoration of a large seventeenth-century farmhouse. A careful architectural renovation, carried out with full respect for the spirit of the place, has brought new life to a residential complex that combines the charm and simplicity of authentic rusticity.

Declared simplicity and attentive elegance characterize the interiors, inspired by old country homes. The furniture comes largely from 19th-century France and Italy: solid wood treated with wax, sober forms gently softened by a subtle artisan grace. Calm colors and antique, sturdy, and functional furnishings convey a style free from excess, where the spectacular or superfluous gives way to reason and function.

Emblematic is the loggia of the main building, which opens onto a façade decorated with a trompe-l’oeil: a painting reproducing the same scenic view visible from the stone wall. The panorama is charming and lush, rich with centuries-old trees, meadows, and vineyards, populated by pheasants, peacocks, and other birds, and crossed by the gentle flow of the river.

In the heart of the garden, next to an ancient fig tree, an old plow becomes a planter, while at the far end, the property is bordered by a stone wall, beyond which the woods slope gently down to the waters of the Chiese.
