This time, the magnificent hanging gardens designed by Paghera frame—what better frame could there be?—one of the world’s most iconic wonders: the Rialto Bridge on Venice’s Grand Canal. No setting has ever been so full of beauty, both for its extraordinary view and for the elements thoughtfully crafted by Paghera’s landscape designers, who elevate and complete the visual harmony to perfection.
The project features a historic residence with a fully en plein air terrace, enriched by a large pergola furnished with elegant tables and chairs, designed for lunches and dinners overlooking the Grand Canal. In designing this space, Paghera maintained an essential style, favoring evergreen plants reaching toward the sky, enhanced by delicate, lively pink blooms that bring fragrance and color with the arrival of spring and summer.
The intervention honors and enhances Venetian architectural style through the use of colorful, vibrant climbers capable of creating an enveloping and joyful green canopy. A fluid, organic green pathway guides the gaze, leading it through an extraordinary play of perspective toward the Rialto Bridge, which rises ahead like a living painting, bridging the realms of art, history, and nature.
