Before us lay an extraordinary challenge: designing a garden in a rugged setting, accessible only through the use of special helicopters to transport materials.
The location is unique: a rocky spur overlooking the sea, where a pool appears suspended between water and sky. The 3,000-square-meter garden, filled with Mediterranean plant species, embraces the villa and develops over a difficult, yet inspiring terrain for Paghera landscape designers.
Sophisticated, noble, and luxurious like the blue of the sea, this is the Côte d’Azur, the famous French Riviera, the stretch of Mediterranean coast between Miramar and the border with Italy.
The pool, situated on the rocky spur, opens onto a breathtaking panorama. A three-meter-wide strip of stabilized sand surrounds the water, separating the reconstructed hydro-massage cave from the solarium area, submerged under a thin veil of water up to the overflow line formed by the armored glass railing.
The effect of maximum naturalness, typical of Paghera pools, is achieved through the use of materials such as sand, rock, and glass, allowing the colors of the pool to blend with the infinite shades of the sea, as if it were part of it.
The Spa, with a large sea-view porthole, Turkish bath, sauna, massage room, and relaxation room with balcony overlooking the sea, was created by expanding and reinforcing the spur on which the pool is set. A staircase immersed in greenery leads down to the sea and the private beach, a true earthly paradise.
This is one of the most complex and spectacular projects ever realized by Paghera: a challenge overcome thanks to the use of advanced technologies, passion, creativity, experience, and profound respect for Nature.
